A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
ESTABLISHING A GOLF CART ZONE WITHIN
THE STONERIDGE AREA
WHEREAS, Section 21115 of the California Vehicle Code permits the estab-
lishment of a "Golf Cart Zone" on roadways adjacent to a golf course and within
one mile distance from a golf course.
WHEREAS, this Council has determined that a certain golf cart zone should
be established.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, ORDERED, FOUND AND DETERMINED by the City
Council of the City of Poway, State of California, in accordance with the
applicable sections of the California vehicle Code finds the following listed
highways in the StoneRidge area, adjacent to a golf course, are designed and
constructed so as to safely permit the use thereof of regular vehicular traffic
and also the driving of golf carts thereon between the golf course and the place
where such golf carts are parked or stored for a distance of not more than one
mile from the golf course:
Ail streets north of Espola Road within the StoneRidge area
including Cloudcroft Drive, Cloudcroft Court, Tam O'Shanter
Drive, Tam O'Shanter Court, Boca Raton Lane, Indian Canyon
Lane, Del Paso Drive, St. Andrews Drive, Glen Arven Lane,
St. Andrews Place, Burning Hills Drive, Starmount Way,
Alderwood Lane, St. Andrews Court, Valle Verde Road, Edina
Way, Surrey Hills Court, Solera Way, and Dorset Way.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED AND ORDERED that the following rules and regulations
shall govern operation of golf Carts:
Every person operating a golf cart upon a designated road has all the
rights and is subject to all duties applicable to a driver of a
vehicle as prescribed by the California Vehicle Code.
2. No golf cart operating on the designated roads shall overtake and pass
any moving vehicle.
Every person operating a golf cart upon a designated road shall do so
on the extreme right side of the roadway, which includes an unpaved
shoulder.
4. Golf carts shall only be operated within the golf cart zone and only
from the golf course directly to its place of storage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Poway, California at
a regular meeting thereof this 24th day of August, 1982.
