A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA,
INITIATING GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT (GPA) 10 -05
ASSESSOR'S PARCEL NUMBER 314 - 040 -24
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Poway recognizes that the need may
arise to amend the City's General Plan; and
WHEREAS, Section 65350, et seq., of the California Government Code describes
the procedures for amending General Plans; and
WHEREAS, this Resolution initiates General Plan Amendment 10 -05 to amend
the Public Facilities Element of the General Plan to add clarifying language pertaining
to active recreation and sports field lighting at the existing City park known as Arbolitos
Sports Field, located at 14401 Pomerado Road.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Poway
as follows:
Section 1 : Initiation of a proposed General Plan Amendment is not subject to the
requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) review.
Section 2 : The City Council hereby approves the Initiation of General Plan Amendment
10 -05.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Poway,
State of California, at a regular meeting this 9th day of November 2010.
