A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA,
INITIATING GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT (GPA) 10 -04
ASSESSOR'S PARCEL NUMBER 317 - 031 -28
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Poway recognizes that the need may
arise to amend the City's General Plan; and
WHEREAS, Section 65350, et seq., of the California Government Code describes
the procedures for amending General Plans; and
WHEREAS, Section 17.46.020 of the Poway Municipal Code requires that a change
in the boundaries of any zone be initiated by Resolution of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, this Resolution initiates General Plan Amendment 10 -04 to amend
the land use and zoning designation of an approximate 0.39 -acre parcel, located at
13626 Pomerado Road, from Residential Apartment (RA) to Commercial Neighborhood
(CN).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Poway as
follows:
Section 1 : Initiation of a proposed General Plan Amendment is not subject to the
requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) review. Environmental
review will be conducted in conjunction with the formal City Council action on the General
Plan Amendment.
Section 2 : The City Council hereby approves the Initiation of General Plan Amendment
10 -04 to change the land use and zoning designation of the parcel located at
13626 Pomerado Road from Residential Apartment (RA) to Commercial Neighborhood
(CN).
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Poway,
State of California, at a regular meeting this 9th day of November 2010.
