A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
SUSPENDING BIDDING PROCEDURE
FOR
EMERGENCY REPAIRS TO OLD COAcH ROAD
WHEREAS, it is necessary to provide emergency repairs to Old Coach Road
due to damage caused by severe winter rains during March, 1983; and
WHEREAS, there is a possibility of awarding a contract in excess of
$5,000.00 for this public works project; and
WHEREAS, residences along Old Coach Road are cut off from entry or exit
from the area due to damages to the roadway; and
WHEREAS, the time required to follow the normal bidding process for public
works projects in excess of $5,000.00 would severely delay the repairs to the
roadway and thus have an adverse impact upon the health, safety and welfare of
the public.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Poway,
that in accordance with Government Code 37906 the bid requirements are hereby
waived for the road improvements to Old Coach Road.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Poway at an adjourned
regular meeting of said Council held on the 3rd day of March, 1983.
