A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
ESTABLISHING THE IN-LIEU FEES
FOR PARKLAND DEDICATION IN THE
CALENDAR YEAR OF 1983
WHEREAS, Ordinance 79 requires the payment of park fees in lieu of
dedication of land; and
WHEREAS, the Ordinance requires the establishment of the current
population estimate for each calendar year; and
WHEREAS, the total estimated costs for improvements shall be
established each calendar year for the development of City owned parkland;
and
WHEREAS, the average population per dwelling unit based on single
family, multiple family and mobile homes shall be established each
calendar year;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that:
SECTION 1: The following values are hereby established:
A. 35,302 = Current estimated population by State Department of
Finance.
B. 52,000 = Ultimate population as established in the Land Use
Element of the General Plan.
$2, 797,200 = Total estimated costs, for development of City
owned parkland designated on the Park and Recreation Element
Plan Map of the General Plan.
Single Family Dwelling 3.32 average population/dwelling
Multiple Family Dwellings 2.14 average population/dwelling
Mobile homes 2.24 average population/dwelling
Mobile homes on permanent foundations shall be counted as
single family; these do not include mobile homes in mobile
home parks.
APPROVED and ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Poway, State of
California, this 10th day of May. 1983.
