A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
AMENDING THE SCHEDULE OF WATER
RATES AND ESTABLISHING WATER RATES
FOR FISCAL YEAR 1983-1984
WHEREAS, the last amendment to the water rate schedule was made July 27,
1982; and
WHEREAS, the San Diego County Water Authority will increase the cost of
raw water by 24 percent effective July 1, 1983; and
WHEREAS, other costs associated with providing water are increasing; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to revise the pumping charges for Improvement
District 1, Improvement District 4, Assessment District 73 and the Donart areas
and to establish pumping charges for Assessment District 79-1 and Service Area
VI; and
WHEREAS, the San Diego County Water Authority has increased the interruptible
water rebate for water used for agricultural purposes; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend the water rate schedule and establish
water rates for fiscal year 1983-1984.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Poway:
That the water rate schedule is hereby established as follows for all water
billed after July 1, 1983:

service other than agriculture shall

Customers who receive water service for a home from a meter also serving
a qualified agricultural use shall be charged at the basic water rate for the
first 52 units of water provided and at the agricultural rate for all water
provided in excess of 52 units.
