Res 83-043RESOLUTION NO. 83-043 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA ESTABLISHING SEWER SERVICE CHARGES FOR FISCAL YEAR 1983-1984 WHEREAS, the City of Poway provides sewer services to citizens of Poway; and WHEREAS, it is necessary to increase the sewer service charge to provide for the increased costs of sewer service. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Poway: 1. That a schedule of bi-monthly sewer service charges is hereby established. 2. That the following schedule of bi-monthly sewer service charges shall go into effect July 1, 1983. Schedule of Bi-Monthly Sewer Service Charges 10.1 10.2 10.3 10.4 10.5 10.6 10.7 10.8 10.9 Single Family Residences Multiple Dwelling per unit Motel-Hotel Buildings, per unit Trailer Parks & Mobile Home Sites, per unit Rooming Houses, per unit Schools (per each 21 average daily attendance) Churches (each unit, capacity/100 equals unit) Residence-Business Combinations 10.8.1 Residence Portion 10.8.2 Business Portion (see 10.9.2 below) Commercial, Industrial, Professional Buildings 10.9.1 Each separate business or activity that has sewer facilities 10.9.2 Commercial, Industrial or Professional Businesses creating large volumes of wastewater, per unit of 8,000 gallons (The units of 8,000 gallons will be based on monthly readings of water meters) 10.9.3 Public Restrooms, per unit $12 21 bi-monthly $12 21 bi-monthly $12 21 bi-monthly $12 21 bi-monthly $12 21 bi-monthly $12 21 bi-monthly $12 21 bi-monthly $12.21 bi-monthly $12.21 bi-monthly $12.21 bi-monthly $12.21 bi-monthly (A unit is defined as a separate space containing sanitation facilities [toilet, urinal, floor drain, wash basin, shower, janitorial deep sink, etc.,] with 4 or less fixtures in number. Those spaces containing sanitation facilities in excess of 4 will be considered as an additional unit for each 4 fixtures or portion thereof.) Ail service connections whose wastewater is serviced by wastewater pump stations (including the Rancho Bernardo Pump Station) will be charged $1.36/month surcharge for each pump station utilized. 10.9.4 Hospital, per bed $12.21 bi-monthly Resolution No. 83-043 Page Two 3. A delinquency fee of 10 percent of the unpaid balance shall be charged on all accounts that remain unpaid for more than 30 days. 4. Resolutions No. 129 and 276 are hereby rescinded- PASSED, ADOPTED and APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Poway, California, at a regular meeting thereof this 21st day of June, 1983. Linda L.
