A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
ADOPTING A SCHEDULE OF FEES
FOR NONRESIDENT PARKING AT LAKE POWAY
WHEREAS, Lake Poway Park has experienced problems of congestion,
safety hazards, and property damage as a result of vehicles used by
park visitors; and
WHEREAS, inadequate parking capacity continues to create problems
and added costs, all of which are the responsibility of the residents
of Poway who financially support this facility through their taxes; and
WHEREAS, approximately 380,000 people visit Lake Poway annually,
of which 70% are nonresidents,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the following fee schedule,
to be charged to nonresidents, for vehicle parking at Lake Poway Park
is adopted:
$ .50 per motorcycle per day
$ 1.00 per car or light truck per day
$ 2.00 per motor home per day
$.20.00 annual nonresident permit
PASSED, ADOPTED and APPROVED by the City Council of the City of
Poway, California, at a regular meeting thereof this 21st day of June,
1983.
