A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
ESTABLISHING A 25 MILE PER HOUR SPEED LIMIT
ON MARTINCOIT ROAD
WHEREAS, Section 22~358 of the California Vehicle Code
permits the establishment of a reduced speed zone in the City
of Poway, where based upon an engineering and traffic study, a
speed limit lower than the normal is safe and reasonable by reason
of special conditions; and
WHEREAS, engineering studies indicate that local roadway
conditions allow a safe and reasonable speed of 25 miles per hour.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that in accordance with said
Section 22.358, that a 25 mile per hour speed limit is hereby
established on Martincoit Road between Rostrada Road and Green Valley
Creek.
PASSED and ADOPTED by the city Council of the City of Poway,
California at a regular meeting thereof this llth day of October
1983.
