A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF POWAY, DECLARING THAT THE
CLEARWELL COVER PROJECT CAN BE PERFORPZED
MORE ECONOMICALLY IN THE OPEN MARKET
WHEREAS, the City of Poway duly noticed and advertised bids on the
Clearwell Cover Project; and
W~EREAS, only one bid for the project was received from Weardce
Construction Corporation, in the amount of $697,819.00 on the basic
bid schedule and $724,372.00 with additive alternatives; and
WHEREAS, an estimate of the 'teal project cost by Boyle Engineering
Corporation was received in the amount of $517,000.00; and
WHEREAS, the bid received from Weardco Construction Corporation for
construction of the Clearwell Cover Project, in the amount of $697,819.00
on the basic bid schedule and $724,372.00 with additive alternatives was
rejected by City Council on November 1, 1983.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
POWAY that it is hereby declared that the Clearwell Cover Project can
be performed more economically by day labor and the materials and supplies
furnished at a lower price in the open market.
PASSED, ADOPTED, and APPROVED at a regular meeting of the City of
Poway, California this 8th day of Hovember, 1983.
