A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY REQUESTING THAT THE
COUNTY OF SAN DIEGO CONSIDER REJOINING SANDAG
WHEREAS, SANDAG is a forum that is voluntary yet regional in nature
that contributes to the public discussion, debate and development of solu-
tions to local government problems that are regional in nature; and
WHEREAS, SANDAG provides local governments with a variety of technical
services at reasonable costs that further enhances the organization's
value to the San Diego region; and
WHEREAS, the County of San Diego is currently not a member of SANDAG
which degrades the organization's ability to truly represent the entire
San Diego region.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of
Poway hereby urges the San Diego County Board of Supervisors to reconsider
their membership status in SANDAG.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Poway
at its regular meeting held on the 22nd day of November, 1983.
