~E ALCOHOL AND DRUG ABUSE
ENPION TASK FORCE
WHEREAS, teenage alcohol and drug abuse and misuse are of significant
concern; and
WHEREAS, in an effort to confront school-age alcohol and drug abuse in ~
munities in San Diego County, there has been established an Alcohol and Drug
Abuse Prevention Task Force (ADAI~T); and
WHEREAS, the City Council ofl the City of Poway recognizes the importance of
civic leaders, educators, parents and all cuLm%unity members working together to
combat this significant problem; land
WHEREAS, it is our belief tthat this task force will be effective in working
together in a unified effortwit. h other cc~uunity organizations to attack the
problem of teenage substance abuse.
NO~ THEREFORE, BE IT ~F-qOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Poway
does hereby express its strong s~pport of the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention
Task Force and will support the ~fforts of same in working with other co~unity
organizations and citizen groups in focusing attention on this problem.
