A RESOLUTION C~ THE CITY COUNCIL
CF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA,
SUPPORTING THE PE~MANEN~ DESIGNATION OF SANDAG
AS THE AREAWIDE CLFARINGHOUSE FOR
WHEREAS, the County of San Diego has requested designation as the Clearing-
house for review of state plans and some federal programs; and
WHEREAS, a split designation as requested by the County of San Diego would
cause duplication and a potential conflict of interest; and
WHEREAS, SANDA/] bas performed efficiently and effectively and at a substan-
tially lower cost to local taxpayers than San Diego County's proposal; and
WHERFAS, SASDA~ has ~n a leader in interagency coordination in the region,
shown integrity in review of programs and projects and been efficient in manage-
ment.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL DOES HEaRtY RESOLVE AS FO~:
The State of California Office of Planning and Research continue the per-
manent designation of SANDAG as the Areawide Clearinghouse for Intergovern-
mental review in the San Diego region.
PASSED, ADOPTED A~) APPROVED, by the City Council of the City of Poway,
California, at a regular meeting thereof this 28th day of February, 1984.
