A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
REQUESTING FUNDS THROUGH THE
TRANSIT DEVELOPMENT ACT TO PROVIDE
BIKE LANES AND STREET IMPROVEMENTS
ON CIVIC CENTER DRIVE AND ON
CAMINO DEL NORTE/TWIN PEAKS ROAD FROM
COMMUNITY ROAD TO THE CITY'S WESTERN BOUNDARY
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to continue to improve safe passage
of bicyclists through the City; and
WHEREAS, certain monies are available through the Transit Development
Act which can be utilized to assist in such construction; and
WHEREAS, such request for funding through the San Diego Association of
Governments must be authorized by the City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Poway hereby authorized the San Diego Association of Governments to
consider the funding of bike lanes and street improvements on Civic Center
Drive and on Camino Del Norte/Twin Peaks Road from Community Road to the
City's western boundary and recommends its approval.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Poway, State
of California this thirteenth day of March, 1984.
