A 9~%ROLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA,
ESTABLISHING THE TERMS OF OFFICE
OF THE MAYOR Ah~ DEPUTY MAYOR
AND RESCIbDING RESOLUTION NO. 10
WHEREAS, the City Council by Ordinance No. 86 has esfmblished the municipal
election date to be the first Tuesday following the first Monday in November of
even-numbered years; and
WHEREAS, for orderly progression, the terms of office of the Mayor and
Deputy Mayor should coincide with the election certification.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Poway as
follows:
The Mayor and Deputy Mayor shall be elected on the Tuesday following
the second Monday in November or at the first regularly scheduled
meeting held thereafter if no ~ting is held on that day.
2. The term of the Mayor and Deputy Mayor shall be for one year or until
their successors are elected.
3. Remolution No. 10 is hereby rescinded.

California, at a regular ~ting thereof this 1st day of May, 1984.
