A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
UPDATING THE CITY'S HOUSING NEEDS STATEMENT
WHEREAS, the San Diego Association of Governments has
established population-increase figures for the San Diego region and
has determined that the population increase for Poway is 6,920,
based on Series 6 Regional Growth Forecasts, and other information
more currently available; and
WHEREAS, the City of Poway recognizes, based on its Housing Needs
and Assessment Report that the projected household size for the ten-
year period (1980-1990) is 3.15 (persons); and
WHEREAS, based on growth projections for the City, Poway
recognizes the need to provide the opportunity for suitable housing
for all economic segments of the community; and
WHEREAS, the San Diego Association of Governments forecasted the
1990 fair share lower income households as 39.8 percent of San Diego
Region);
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Poway does hereby
resolve as follows:
1. The City of Poway hereby adopts its total fair share
household as 925 for the ten-year period, 1980-1990.

The City of Poway hereby adopts its five-year goal to assist
282 lower income households as part of the total lower
income household goal for the region.
APPROVED and ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Poway,
State of California, this 5th day of June 1984.
