A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PO~AY SETTING COUNCIL POLICY FOR
PRE-APPLICATION REVIEW OF R~QUESTS OF THE PUBLIC
FOR ~ OF THE POWAY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council to establish a policy for the
review of requests of the public for a~end~ents to the Poway Cc~prehensive Plan
prior to actual sut~ittal;
WHEREAS, the City Council's action on a pre-application request is not
binding on a prospective applicant;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Poway City Council does hereby
establish the following policy:
S~CTION 1: Sut~ittal of Pre-Application Requests
Pre-application requests xay be sut~itted at any tixe during w~rking hours
to the Planning Services Staff. The s,,~ittal shall include all those items
required by the Director of Planning Services that are dc~-~red necessary for
City Council review.
S~CTION 2: Hearing on Pre-Application Requests
Hmaring on pre-application requests shall occur once a year at the first
regularly scheduled City Council xeeting in July.
S~CTION 3: Action of the City Council
Action of the City Council on pre-application requests shall not be binding;
however, the action shall be considered advisory. After said action the
applicants, if they wish to proceed further, sb~tll s~it the application
fee and any other data dc~ed necessary by the Director of Planning
Services.

California, at a regular xeeting thereof this 19th day of June, 1984.
