A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POW~Y, CALIFORNIA
AMEI~ING THE SCP~P/JLE OF V~ATER
RATES AR~ ESTABLISHING WkTER RATES
FOR FISCAL YEAR 1984-1985
AND RESCIE~DING ~-qOLUTION NO. 83-042
WHEREAS, costs associated with providing w~ter have increased; and
WPmU~AS, it is necessary to revise the pumping charges for Improvement
District 1, Iaprovement District 4, Assessment District 73, the Donart areas,
Assessment District 79-1 and Service Area VI; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend the water rate schedule and establish
water rates for fiscal year 1984-1985.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pc~ay:
1. That the water rate schedule is hereby established as follows for all water
billed after July 1, 1984:
Charge Per Unit

Basic Water Rate
The basic water rate for all classes of service
other than agriculture shall equal (per unit)

A~riculture Rate
The agriculture rate for agriculture service as
defined by the Metropolitan Water District
shall equal (per unit)
$0.6858
A~r iculture/Dcmestic Service
Custcmers who receive water service for a hcme frcm a meter also serving a
qualified agricultural use shall be charged at the basic water rate for the
first 52 units of water provided and at the agricultural rate for all water
provided in excess of 52 units.

Capacity Charges
All water custce~rs shall pay a bimonthly capacity charge for water service

2. That Resolution No. 83-042 is hereby rescinded.
