A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
AMENDING PAGES 25 AND 39 OF THE
1983 POWAY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN TEXT
TO CLARIFY THE HIGH VALLEY AREA BOUNDARIES
WHEREAS, it was the intent of the Poway City Council to have
the requirements for the development in the High Valley area to be
for the same boundaries as in prior Community Plans; and
WHEREAS, pages 25 and 39 of the 1983 Poway Comprehensive Plan
do not reflect previous High Valley boundaries approved in
Community Plans for Poway;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the 1983 Poway Compre-
hensive Plan be amended as indicated in Exhibit B attached hereto
and to amend the first paragraph in its entirety on page 39 to read
as follows:
Residential lB - Rural Residential B The Rural Residential B
category is an intermediary rural r~sidential category. The
minimum parcel sizes are 2, 4, and 8 acres based upon slopes
that are 0-15 percent, 15-25 percent, or above 25 percent,
respectively. In regard to parcel sizes in the High Valley
area, please refer to Land Use Element Policy 7.h. These
areas generally will be served by the City water system, but
not sewer. The rural road standards of the City would apply.
The uses allowed are primarily single family dwelling units.
The keeping of farm animals is compatible within these areas.
APPROVED and ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Poway,
State of California, this 26th day of June, 1984.
