A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POWAY,
CALIFORNIA, STATING ITS INTENTION TO VACATE AND ABANDON A PORTION OF
AUBREY STREET, WEST OF GAELYN COURT AND SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING DATE
(VACATION NO. 84-03)
WHEREAS, there has been requested the vacation of the hereinafter
described portion of Aubrey Street, and
WHEREAS, Chapter 3 of Part 3 of Division 9 of the State of
California Streets and Highways Code, commencing at Section 8320,
provides that the City Council may, by resolution, declare its
intention to vacate any City street, and
WHEREAS, a public hearing is required at which all interested
parties may give evidence and testimony as to whether the hereinafter
described street is necessary for any present or prospective public
use and if it should or should not be vacated.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Poway that it is the intention of this Council to vacate and
abandon the following described City street pursuant to the procedures
prescribed in Chapter 3, Part 3, Division 9 of the Streets and
Highways Code:
Ail that portion of Aubrey Street within Poway Mesa No. 2
according to Map thereof No. 7244 in the City of Poway,
County of San Diego, State of California, filed in the
Office of the County Recorder of San Diego County,
March 30, 1972 described as follows:
Beginning at the Southwesterly Corner of Lot 159 of
said map being also a point on a 1458.00 foot Radius
Curve the Center of which bears North 41032'52'' East
(Record North 41033'09'' East); thence Southeasterly
along the arc of said curve and along the Southwesterly
line of said lot 159 thru a Central Angle of 1°54'42''
48.65 feet; thence North 70o55'32'' West, 39.30 feet to
the Westerly line of said map; thence along said Westerly
line North 0037'05'' East (Record North 0037'24'' East)
18.81 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING.
IT IS ORDERED that Tuesday, October 16, 1984, at the hour of
7 p.m. at City Hall Council Chambers, 13325 Civic Center Drive, is
fixed as the time and place for a public hearing on this matter.

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED THAT THE City Clerk of this City give
notice of the adoption of this resolution and of the time and place
fixed for the hearing by publication of a notice therefor in the
"Poway Chieftain", a newspaper of general circulation published
in the County of San Diego, for at least two successive weeks
prior to said day fixed for said hearing, and that the Clerk
also cause similar notices to be conspicuously posted along the
line of said street proposed to be vacated as above described.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Poway,
California at a regular meeting thereof this 18th day of
September, 1984.
