A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
ESTABLISHING PASSENGER LOADING ZONES
ON MIDLAND ROAD FRONTING MIDLAND SCHOOL,
AND ON MARTINCOIT ROAD FRONTING PAINTED
ROCK SCHOOL
WHEREAS, Section 10.28.080 of the Municipal Code of the City
of Poway, California permits the regulation of parking, stopping
or standing on certain public thoroughfares, and
WHEREAS, this Council has determined that in the interest
of public safety and convenience, certain passenger loading zones
should be established.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that in accordance with said
Section 10.28.080 that:
A passenger loading zone be established on the
west side of Midland Road beginning 15 feet
north of the stop bar for southbound traffic
at the school crosswalk, and extending northerly
from that point 165 feet.
No parking shall be permitted on the pavement
surface on the east side of Midland Road opposite
the loading zone established in (1) above.
A passenger loading zone be established on the
pavement surface on the east side of Martincoit
Road beginning at a p6iht. 10 feet south of the
most southerly driveway into Painted Rock School,
and continuing south 100 feet more or less to
the beginning of a 20 foot radius curve.
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City
of Poway, california at the regular meeting thereof this 23rd
day of October , 1984.
