A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
AMENDING THE LAND USE ELEMENT OF
THE GENERAL PLAN OF THE CITY OF POWAY
COMPREHENSIVE PLAN (GPA 84-03B)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Poway recognizes that
the need may arise to amend the City's General Plan; and
WHEREAS, Section 65350, et seq., of the California Government
Code describes the procedures for amending General Plans; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Poway directed a
review of the land use designation on three parcels having a
combined area of approximately 3.19 acres and located at the
southeast corner of Midland Road and Edgemoor Street (APN 314-221-
01, 02, and 03);
WHEREAS, the City of Poway held a properly noticed public hearing
in accordance with the California Government Code and the California
Environmental Quality Act to consider that request; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Poway finds that all
properties surrounding this site are designated for 12 dwelling
units per acre or less.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council does hereby
amend the General Plan Land Use Map for the above described
properties from Residential Apartment (12-20 d.u./net acre) to
Residential Condominium (7-12 d.u./net acre).
PASSED and ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Poway,
State of California this 18th day of December.
