Res 84-124RESOLUTION NO. 84-124 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA AMENDING THE LAND USE ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN OF THE CITY OF POWAY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN (GPA 84-03C) WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Poway recognizes that the need may arise to amend the City's General Plan; and WHEREAS, Section 65350, et seq., of the California Government Code describes the procedures for amending General Plans; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Poway directed a review of the land use designation on five (5) parcels having a total an area of approximately 3.2 acres and located on the south side of Oak Knoll Road east of its intersection with Pomerado Road (APN 317-501-01, 02 and 317-550-10, 12, and 13; WHEREAS, the City of Poway held a properly noticed public hearing in accordance with the California Government Code and the California Environmental Quality Act to consider that request; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Poway finds that an apartment projects on all the subject parcels will create unacceptable traffic problems in the area. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council does hereby amend the General Plan Land Use Map for two (2) of the above described parcels (APN 317-501-01 and 02) from Residential Apartment (12-20 d.u./net acre) to Residential Condominium (7-12 d.u./net acre) for that portion of the properties located outside the Poway Creek floodplain. That portion of the two (2) within the floodplain shall remain Residential Rural C. ATTEST: PASSED and ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Poway, State of California this 18th day of December.
