A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
AMENDING THE LAND USE ELEMENT OF
THE GENERAL PLAN OF THE CITY OF POWAY
COMPREHENSIVE PLAN (GPA 84-03H)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Poway recognizes that
the need may arise to amend the City's General Plan; and
WHEREAS, Section 65350, et seq., of the California Government
Code describes the procedures for amending General Plans; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Poway directed a review
of the land use designation on three parcels having a combined area
of approximately 3.41 acres and located at the northeast corner of
Poway Road and Community Road (APN 317-101-15, 16, and 17);
WHEREAS, the City of Poway held a properly noticed public hearing
in accordance with the California Government Code and the California
Environmental Quality Act to consider that request; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Poway finds that these
properties lie within the central commercial activity area described
in the Community Design Element of the Comprehensive Plan and that
other properties in this area are designated Commercial Community.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council does hereby
amend the General Plan Land Use Map for the above described
properties from Commercial General to Commercial Community.
PASSED and ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Poway,
State of California this 18th day of December.
