A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA,
ESTABLISHING A STOP CONTROL FOR THE
MADERAS COUNTRY CLUB DRIVEWAY AT OLD COACH ROAD
WHEREAS, Section 21100 of the California Vehicle Code permits local
authorities to adopt by resolution traffic control measures meeting the
requirements set forth under Section 21351 of the California Vehicle Code; and
WHEREAS, Section 21351 of the California Vehicle Code permits the
establishment of stop controls in the City of Poway; and
WHEREAS, Section 21804 of the California Vehicle Code provides for
drivers of any vehicle about to enter a highway from private property to yield the
right-of-way to all traffic approaching on the highway; and
WHEREAS, this Council has determined that a stop control should be
established.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Poway as follows:
Section 1. In accordance with said Sections 21351 and 21804 of the
California Vehicle Code, a stop control shall be installed for the Maderas Country
Club driveway at Old Coach Road.
PASSED, ADOPTED, AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of
Poway, California, at a regular meeting thereof, this 10th day of December 2002.
