A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY ODUb~IL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALI~0RNIA,
APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR GRANT FUhDS
UNDER THE LAKES, RESERVOIRS, AhD WA~'~WAYS
PROGRAM OF THE CALIFORNIA PARK AAD
RECREATIONAL FACILITIES ACT OF 1984, FOR
LAKE POWAY R~CREATION AREA NE~ }~W~RTRDOM/PAVTLION PRO~MC~
AND RESCIbDING RESOLUTION NO. 85-047
WHEREAS, the people of the State of California have enacted the California
Park and Recreational Facilities Act of 1984, which provides funds to the State
of California and its political subdivisions for developing facilities for
public recreational purposes; and
WHEREAS, the State Department of Parks and Recreation has been delegated the
responsibility for the administration of the program within the state, setting
up necessary procedures governing application by local agencies under the
program; and
WHEREAS, said procedures established by the State Department of Parks and
Recreation require the applicant to certify by resolution the approval of appli-
cations before s~hmission of said applications to the state; and
WHEREAS, said applications contain assurances that the applicant must comply
with; and
WHEREAS, the applicant agency will enter into anagreementwith the State of
California for development rehabilitation or restoration of the project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Poway,
California hereby:
Approves the filing of an application for 1984 state grant assistance
for the Lake Poway Recreation Area New Restroom/Pavilion ~xtdition
Project; and
2. Certifies that said agency understands the assurances and certification
in the application; and

Certifies that said agency has or will have have sufficient funds to
operate and mintain the project, and if the project is selected for
state grant funding; and
e
Certifies that said organization will provide construction plans and
specifications to the state within one year of the appropriation of
funds under this program andwill commence work ~iatelyafter state
approval; and

Appoints the City Manager as agent of the City of Poway to conduct all
negotiations, execute and s,,~it all documents including but not
limited to applications, agreements, amendments, payment requests, and
so on which may be necessary for the completion of the aforementioned
projects(s ); and
Appoints Steve Eckis, City Attorney, as legal counsel for said agency
with authorization to sign the certification on page 1 of application.
7. Hereby rescinds Resolution No. 85-047.
