A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
DESIGNATING THE CITY OF POWAY FIRE DEPARTMENT
AS A PARTICIPATING DEPARTMENT FOR
STATE FIREFIGHTER I CERTIFICATION
WHEREAS, the City of Poway, California desires to
participate in the State Board of Fire Services, Office of State
Fire Marshal, certification program for the California Fire
Service; and
WHEREAS, the City of Poway, California desires its fire
department to be identified as a "Participating Department" under
guidelines adopted by the State Board of Fire Services, Office of
State Fire Marshal; now
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Poway,
California shall attain Firefighter I certification for presently
employed firefighters within one (1) year of the effective date
of this Resolution.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all firefighters newly
employed by the City of Poway, California after the effective
date of this Resolution, shall attain Firefighter I certification
under said program within one (1) year of the date of initial
employment.
