A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY O0UNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA,
AUTHORIZING C~RTAIN PERSONS TO EXECUTE
ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF POWAY,
APPLICATIONS AND DOCUMENTS FOR
THE PURPOSE OF OBTAINING
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE UbDER THE
~'pmoERAL CML DEFENSE A~T OF 1950, AS AMENDfD
~{EREAS, the application process for mtching federal funds in the ~nergency
Management Assistance Program requires cities to authorize signatories for all
Civil Defense/~nergency Service matters; and
WHEREAS, this City Council is desirous at this time and dc~----"~, it to be in
the best public interest to authorize signatories for civil Defense matters.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVMD by the City Council of the City of Poway,
California, as follows:
1. that the above recitations are true;

that Jim Bowersox, City Manager and Director of ~rgency Services,
and/or William Toon, Director of Safety Services and Assistant Director
of f~rergency Services, are hereby authorized to sign documents for the
purpose of obtaining financial assistance under the Federal Civil
Defense Act of 1950, as amended.
