A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
DENYING GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT 85-02C AND
ZONE CHANGE 85-02C
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Poway recognizes that
the need may arise to amend the City's General Plan; and
WHEREAS, Section 65350, et seq., of the California Government
Code describes the procedures for amending General Plans; and
WHEREAS, property owner Mr. Roger Taylor has requested a modi-
fication of land use designation and zone classification on the
following parcel 273-100-04 having an area of approximately 40
acres and located at the northerly terminus of Glen Arven Lane
approximately 130 feet north of St. Andrews Drive; and
WHEREAS, the City of Poway held a properly noticed public
hearing in accordance with the California Government Code and the
California Environmental Quality Act to consider that request.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council does
hereby deny the subject request, which consists of the redesigna-
tion of land use from Residential Rural A to Residential Rural B on
the Land Use Element of the General Plan, and the reclassification
of zoning from Rural Residential A (RR-A) to Rural Residential B
(RR-B) on the Zoning Plan based on the following finding:
1. That the requested land use and zone change is not
appropriate.
PASSED and ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Poway,
State of California, this 10th day of September, 1985.
