A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
DETERMINING THAT A DANCE STUDIO
IS A PERMITTED USE WITHIN CERTAIN
COMMERCIAL ZONES
WHEREAS, On October 29, 1985, the City Council held a hearing
on Clarification of Ambiguity 85-01 (Section 17.02.040 of the
Zoning Development Code) to determine if a dance studio is a per-
mitted use within the Commercial zones; and
WHEREAS, the dance studio use was contemplated by the City
Council as a use properly included within the broader category of
art, music, and photographic studios as that category is used in
Section 17.10.080 of the Zoning Development Code when that section
was adopted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Poway as follows:
A dance studio is included in the broader category of art,
music, and photographic studios as contained in Section
17.10.080 of the Zoning Development Code and is, there-
fore, a permitted use within the Commercial Neighborhood,
Commercial General, and Commercial Community zones.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Poway,
State of California, this 29th day of October, 1985.
