A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
REQUESTING FUNDS THROUGH THE
TRANSIT DEVELOPMENT ACT TO PROVIDE
BIKE LANES AND STREET IMPROVEMENTS
ON LAKE POWAY ROAD
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to continue to improve safe
passage of bicyclists through the City; and
WHEREAS, certain monies are available through the Transit
Development Act which can be utilized to assist in such construc-
tion; and
WHEREAS, an additional $9,689 is necessary to complete the
construction of bicycle lanes on Lake Poway Road; and
WHEREAS, such request for funding through the San Diego
Association of Governments must be authorized by the City
Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of Poway hereby authorized the San Diego Association of
Governments to consider the funding of bike lanes and street
improvements on Lake Poway Road and recommends its approval.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Poway, State of California this ei~enth day of March, 1986.
