A RESOLUTION (~ THE CITY COUNCIL
AUTHf~tIZING THE CITY DEP~ HEAD
TO DESTROY CITY RECC~S
~HEREAS, Government Code Section 34090 authorizes City Department heads to
destroy certain City records, docum~_nts, instrumants, book~ or paper, under
their charge, without making a copy thereof, after the same are no longer
required, with the approval of the legislative body by resolution and the
written consent of the City Attorney; and
WHEREAS, this Council proposed to grant such approval for the destruction of
the records, documents, instruments, books or papers more particularly described
in Exhibit "A" attached hereto, it having been determined by the Director of
Administrative Services to be no longer required; and
WH~LEAS, said records, documents, instruments, books, or papers are not
within the category of items, the destruction of which is otherwise forbidden.
NOW, TH~{EFfkRE, BE IT ~OLVfl) by the City Council of the City of Pow-ay as
follows:
That it does hereby authorize the Director of A~ninistrative Services to
destroy the City records, documents, instruments, books, or papers under
their charge, as described in said Exhibit "A," without making a copy
thereof.
