A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA,
APPROVING A CEQA ADDENDUM TO THE ADOPTED
NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT 10 -20
WHEREAS, on October 19, 2010 the City of Poway approved a Negative
Declaration and Conditional Use Permit 10 -20 to establish field lights and renovate
playing fields at an existing City park known as Arbolitos Sports Field, and
WHEREAS, an Addendum to the Negative Declaration has been prepared in
compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act (Public Resources Code §
21000, et seq.) to address new information identified since the project was approved
pertaining to the presence of California gnatcatcher in areas adjacent to the Arbolitos
Sports Field; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the Addendum, along with the
adopted Negative Declaration and Agenda Report for this matter and has considered
other evidence presented at the October 19, 2010 public hearing; and
WHEREAS, on August 2, 2011, the City Council considered the
above - referenced matter at a public meeting, during which public comment was received
and considered.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Poway
as follows:
Section 1 : The analysis from the Negative Declaration approved for the project
together with the analysis of the Addendum support the conclusion that implementation of
the project will not result in any significant impacts to the California gnatcatcher, and the
conclusions of the Negative Declaration approved for the project on October 19, 2010
remain valid.
PASSED, ADOPTED and APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Poway,
State of California, at a regular meeting this 2nd day of August 2011.
