A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
DENYING GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT 86-02D
AND ZONE CHANGE 86-02D
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Poway recognizes that
the need may arise to amend the City's General Plan; and
WHEREAS, Section 65350, et. seq., of the California Government
Code describes the procedures for amending General Plans; and
WHEREAS, property owner Graybill Medical Clinic has requested a
modification of land use designation and zone classification on the
following parcel 321-270-55 having an area of approximately 43.21
acres and located south of Poway Road and approximately 1,300 feet
north of the easterly terminus of Sycamore Canyon Road; and
WHEREAS, the City of Poway held a properly noticed public
hearing on September 16, 1986 in accordance with the California
Government Code and the California Environmental Quality Act to
consider that request, and said hearing was continued to September
30, 1986.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council does
hereby deny the subject request, which consists of the redesigna-
tion of land use from Residential Rural A to Residential Rural B
on the Land Use Map of the General Plan, and the reclassification
of zoning from Rural Residential A (RR-A) to Rural Residential B
(RR-B) on the Zoning Plan, based on the following finding:
That the requested land use redesignation and zone change
is not consistent with the rural land policies of the
Poway General Plan, the property development standards and
slope criteria of the Zoning Development Code, or with the
RR-A lands adjoining the subject property.
PASSED and ADOPTED by the City C~ncil of the City of Poway,
