A RESOIf3TION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF PONAY, CALTFORNIA,
SUPPORTING T~E SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT I~QUEST
FOR A GRANT TO ESTABLISH A CRIME P~0N
PRDDUCTION UNIT FOR CABLE T~LRVISIC~q
~MR. REAS, the San Diego County Sheriff's Department b~-~ applied to the
Foundation for C~L',~%~nity Service Cable Television for a grant under the local
develoIm~nt grants program; and
~_~%EAS, the City of Poway is vitally interested in the cablecast of crime
prevention and education knowledge programs; and
WHEREAS, the Foundation and the attemdmnt funding is available through the
Foundation as designated by Section 53066.1 of the Goverrm~_nt Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Poway,
that it does hereby support the application of the San Diego County Sheriff's
Department for the local development grant frcm the Foumdation for Om,,~.unity
Service Cable Television; and
BE IT FJRrHER RESOLVED, that the City of Council of the City of Poway wishes
the Sheriff of San Diego County every success in the establishment and use of
the grant for the expansion of the use of cc~nunity channels in San Diego
County.
