A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POWAY
CALIFORNIA ESTABLISHING A "NO PASSING ZONE" ON MARTINCOIT
ROAD BETWEEN STONE CANYON ROAD AND ORCHARD GATE ROAD.
WHEREAS Section 21100 of the California Vehicle Code
permits local authorities to adopt by resolution, traffic
control measures meeting the requirements set forth
under Section 21400 of the California Vehicle Code, and
WHEREAS Section 21752(a) of the California Vehicle
Code prohibits vehicles from passing on the left of a
two-lane highway when a curve or grade is obstructing
a driver's view.
WHEREAS this City Council has determined that such
obstructions do exist on Martincoit Road between Stone
Canyon Road and Orchard Gate Road.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that in accordance
with Sections 21400 and 21752 of the California Vehicle
Code, that a "No Passing Zone" be established on Martincoit
Road between Stone Canyon Road and Orchard Gate Road.
PASSED, ADOPTED, AND APPROVED by the City Council
of the City of Poway California at a regular meeting
this 9th day of December, 1986.
