A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA,
ESTABLISHING A YIELD SIGN AT THE SOUTHEAST
CORNER OF KENNEBUNK STREET AND ACTON AVENUE AND
ESTABLISHING A 15 M.P.H. SPEED ZONE APPROXIMATELY 100 FEET
SOUTH OF SAID INTERSECTION ON THE EAST SIDE OF ACTON AVENUE
WHEREAS, Section 21100 of the California Vehicle Code permits
local authorities to adopt by ~esolution traffic control measures
meeting the requirements set forth under Section 21400 of the
California Vehicle Code, and
WHEREAS, Section 21356 of the California Vehicle code permits
the establishment of yield- right-of-way signs in the City of Poway,
and Section 21359 of the California Vehicle Code Permits the
establishment of speed signs for special areas.
WHEREAS, this Council has determined that, certain yield and
speed signs should be established.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that in accordance with said
Section 21356 of the California Vehicle Code, a yield sign be
posted at the southeast corner of the intersection of Kennebunk
Street and Acton Avenue and a 15 M.P.H. sign be established
approximately 100 feet south of said intersection on the east side
of Acton Avenue.
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED, by the City Council of the City
of Poway, California at a regular meeting thereof this 20th day of
January, 1987.
