A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
APPROVING THE ALLOCATION OF FUNDS
FROM THE TRANSIT DEVELOPEMENT ACT BICYCLE FUND
FOR THE PRINTING AND DISTRIBUTION
OF A REGIONAL BICYCLING MAP
WHEREAS, the San Diego Association of Governments has hereto-
fore approved the allocation of $6,700 from the fiscal year 1987
Transit Development Act Bicycle Fund to assist in implementing
bicycle projects related to air quality tactics; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Poway desires to act as a claimant on
behalf of all the cities and the County in the San Diego region for
funds in the amount of $5,500 to be passed through the San Diego
Association of Governments for actual printing and distribution of
a brochure "Regional Bicycling Map."
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that the city Council of the
City of Poway that the City of Poway does claim the amount of
$5,500 from Transit Development Act Air Quality Reserve funds on
behalf of all the cities and the county of San Diego in the San
Diego region to be utilizied for the printing and distribution of a
map promoting the use of a region-wide bicycle system.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City of Poway
is hereby directed to forward a certified copy of this resolution
to the San Diego Association of Governments as adopted by the City
Council of the City of Poway, California.
Section 1: City Council Decision:
The City Council hereby approves the allocation of funds from
the Transit Development Act Bicycle Fund for the printing and
distribution of a regional bicycling map.
APPROVED and ADOPTED by the City Council of the city of Poway,
State of California, this 9th day of June, 1987.
