A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA,
ACCEPTING THE NEGOTIATED PROPERTY TAX EXCHANGE FROM
THE SAN DIEGO COUNTY LIGHTING DISTRICT NO. 1 ON
BEHALF OF THE POWAY CITY LIGHTING DISTRICT
WHEREAS, on July 1, 1987, the Poway City Lighting District will assume
responsibility for the maintenance of street lights within its boundaries; and
WHEREAS, this service was previously provided by the San Diego County
Lighting District No. 1; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 99 (b) of the California Revenue and Taxation
Code, the Poway City Lighting District is entitled to a portion of the annual
property tax.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Poway does resolve as
follows:
The City Council of the City of Poway, accepts the negotiated property
tax exchange from the San Diego County Lighting Maintenance District
No. 1, on behalf of the Poway City Lighting District.
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED, by the City Council of the City of Poway,
California, at a regular meeting thereof this 23rd day of June, 1987.
