Res 87-156RESOLUTION NO. 87-156 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA, FIXING AND DETERMINING SEWER CONNECTION FEES AND RESCINDING RESOLUTION 83-051 WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 107 has been adopted by the City Council, authorizing all sewer fees and charges to be set by resolution of the Council; and NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council does resolve as follows: Section 1: Schedule of Sewer Connection Fees. The following schedule of fees applies to sewer connections from unit(s) to City's main, transmission, or collector lines: Single Family Residences ................. $2356 Duplexes and Triplexes (per unit) .... $2356 Other Multiple Dwellings or Condominiums (~e~ ~niti ] ] ] $2356 A unit is defined as a family living space(s) consisting of, but not limited to, a kitchen, bath, living rooms and bedrooms under a common roof or airspace. Commercial, Professional and Industrial Buildings per unit not exceeding 1,000 sq. ft. in area ............. $2356 Units in excess of 1,000 sq. ft. will be charged $2356 for the first 1,000 sq. ft., plus $2.36 per sq. ft. of area over 1,000 sq. ft. Schools (public and private). Student Facilities (each unit) .............. $2356 A unit is defined, but not limited to facility design (student capacity) times 12 (gallons per day per person) divided by 250 gallons per day. (school capacity) x (12) : units 250 Other school facilities are the same as for commercial, professional, and industrial buildings. Churches (each unit) $2356 Resolution No. 87-156 Page 2 Motels First unit ........................... $2356 Second and suceedfng units .................. $1678 Motel units are defined, but not limited to, a separate living facility custo- marily rented by the day, week, or month. Trailer Parks and Mobile Home Sites (each site) .......... $2356 Permanent facilities, first 2,000 sq. ft. (each unit) ...... $2356 Sites exceeding 2,000 sq. ft. will be charged $2355 for the first 2,000 sq. ft., plus $1.68 per sq. ft. of area which exceeds 2,000. Permanent facilities within such trailer park or mobile home sites, constructed as an adjunct or convenience of the residents therein, are defined as, but not limited to, recreation facilities, laundry and/or dry cleaning facilities, swimming pool dressing rooms and toilets and food service facilities or commer- cial units such as bars, restaurants, or stores. Unclassified Uses In the event that a proposed use does not fall within one of the foregoing classifications, the aplicant for a connection to the City's sewage system shall submit the proposed use to the Director of Public Services. The Director of Public Services shall set an appropriate connection fee for the proposed use based upon an estimate of the sewerage daily sewage flows.
