A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING THE
RAW WATER ADMINISTRATIVE SURCHARGE
FOR THE 2011 -12 FISCAL YEAR IN ACCORDANCE WITH
AN AGREEMENT WITH THE STONERIDGE COUNTRY CLUB
WHEREAS, Section 13.11.120 (C) (1) of the Poway Municipal Codes states that the
rate for raw water will be the raw water cost from the San Diego County Water Authority
(CWA), associated fixed charges, and a City surcharge as established by separate
agreement; and
WHEREAS, the City of Poway ( "City ") has an agreement ( "Agreement ") to provide
raw water to the Stoneridge Country Club; and
WHEREAS, Section 10. Water Rate and Usage Charge of the Agreement states
that the City shall set annually, by Resolution, an administrative surcharge to recover the
City's operating, maintenance, repair, administrative and other costs associated with the
City's raw water direct connection to the San Diego County Water Authority's Aqueduct.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Poway
that the administrative surcharge shall be calculated per acre /foot in the following manner
for the FY 2011 -12 Fiscal Year:
Customer Services — Water Fund Cost Allocation
For the 2011 -12 Budget Year $386,521
Cost Allocation (per 11,761 Acre Feet estimate) $32.86
Overhead rate of 12% $ 3.94
Total Raw Water Surcharge /Acre Foot $3
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Poway at a
regular meeting this 3rd day of April 2012.
