A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA,
AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF POWAY TO AMEND THE CONTRACT
WITH THE COUNTY OF SAN DIEGO FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT SERVICES
WHEREAS, the City of Poway has entered into a
Contract with the County of San Diego for Law
Services, beginning Fiscal Year 1986-87, and
three year
Enforcement
WHEREAS, the Law Enforcement Contract provides that the City
of Poway and County of San Diego shall prepare annually a written
Joint Operating and Financial Plan identified as Attachment B to
the Contract, and
WHEREAS, the County of San Diego has demonstrated the
ability to provide the desired level of service at a cost
satisfactory to the City of Poway, and
WHEREAS, the contractual relationship for law enforcement
services has proven to be a cost effective means of mutual
benefit to both the City and County in an era of financial
restraint and uncertainty.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Poway does
hereby approve the Joint Operating and Financial Plan for Fiscal
Year 1988-89 for Law Enforcement Services and authorizes the
Mayor to execute the contract on behalf of the City.
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED, by the City Council of the
City of Poway, California, at a regular meeting thereof this 3rd
day of May, 1988.
