A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA,
AUTHORIZING ITS MEMBERS TO FILE
A WRITTEN ARGUMENT OR ARGUMENTS REGARDING
A CITY MEASURE
WHEREAS, a municipal election is to be held in the City of Poway,
California, on November 8, 1988, at which there will be submitted to the
qualified electors of said City one or more measures.
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA, DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That this City Council, being the legislative body of the City
of Poway, hereby authorizes each of the individuals below named to file a
written argument or arguments relating to the City measure set forth in the
recitals hereof in accordance with Article 4, Chapter 3, Division 5, of the
Elections Code of the State of California and Sections 4015, 5010, 5011 and
5013, and to change said argument or arguments until and including the date
fixed by the City Clerk after which no arguments for or against said City
measure may be submitted to the City Clerk:
ROBERT C. EMERY, MAYOR
CARL R. KRUSE, DEPUTY MAYOR
LINDA BRANNON, COUNCILMEMBER
DON HIGGINSON, COUNCILMEMBER
BRUCE J. TARZY, COUNCILMEMBER
Each of the members listed is authorized to submit a separate argument or to
join with other listed members or members of the public in submitting an
argument.
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED, by the City Council of the City of Poway,
California, at a regular meeting thereof this 21st day of June, 1988.
