A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA,
APPROVING THE MID-YEAR BUDGET AMENDMENTS
FOR FISCAL YEAR 1987-1988
WHEREAS, a mid-year review of the 1987-1988 budget has determined the need
to authorize additional appropriations to certain fund activities, and
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Poway does hereby resolve
and order as follows:
Section 1: The following appropriations are authorized to be made from the
unappropriated fund balance of the General Fund:
Legislative & Administrative
No mid-year appropriations needed.
Administrative Services
a) $5,000 to Account 106-282 for postage. This includes both regular
City business correspondence as well as postage required on the Business
and Residential Surveys.
Community Services
a) $18,500 to Account 200-319 for animal control services. The County of
San Diego underestimated the cost of services at the beginning of the
fiscal year.
Planning Services
a) $7,765 to Account 303-143 to fund increased contract inspection services
which are offset by corresponding increases in inspection fee revenue.
Section 2: The following appropriations are authorized to be made from the
unappropriated fund balance of the Gas Tax Fund, as a loan from the General
Fund:
Public Services
a) $22,100 to Account 403-110 to fund the addition of temporary Construction
Maintenance Workers I for the purpose of completing urgent and necessary
street work.
b) $25,000 to Account 403-351 to fund an increase in signal maintenance
repair costs and higher than anticipated maintenance contracts.

Section 3: The following appropriation is authorized to be made from the
unappropriated balance of the Water Fund:
Public Services
a) $196,337 to Account 404-3213 to fund an increase in the cost of water
equaling $5 per acre foot which became effective February 1, 1988.
These increases will be offset by corresponding increases in revenues.
Safety Services
No mid-year appropriations needed.

California, at a regular meeting thereof this 1st day of March, 1988.
