A RESOLUTION OF INTENT OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
REGARDING THE INITIATION OF THE PREPARATION
OF A SPECIFIC PLAN, SP 88-02
APN's 314-632-45 and 46
WHEREAS, Chapter 17.47 (Specific Plan Regulations) of the Poway
Municipal Code (zoning Development Code) provides for the ini-
tiation, preparation, and adoption of specific plans in accordance
with Section 65450, et. seq., of the California Government Code
(Article 8. Specific Plans); and
WHEREAS, Section 17.47.020 C. (Initiation) of the Poway zoning
Development Code provides that the City Council may initiate
the preparation of a specific plan on property by resolution; and
WHEREAS, on March 15, 1988, the City Council considered a City
staff report regarding the preparation of a proposed specific plan
in accordance with the Specific Plan Regulations of the City of
Poway Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, the property subject to the proposed specific plan
(SP 88-02), as depicted on Attachment 1, involves two adjoining
undeveloped parcels of land having a combined area of approximately
0.69 acres which are more specifically identified as assessor's
parcel numbers 314-632-45 (approximately 0.30 acres) and 314-632-46
(approximately 0.39 acres); and said parcels are presently owned by
San Marcos Development Company according to the latest secured
assessment roll of property in the County of San Diego, California;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council does hereby deem necessary and
desirable that a specific plan (SP 88-02) for the subject property
be initiated.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the city Council of the
City of Poway herby initiates the preparation of a specific plan
(SP 88-02) for the property depicted on Attachment 1 hereto.
APPROVED and ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Poway,
State of California, this 15th day of March, 1988.
