A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
AMENDING THE LAND USE ELEMENT OF
THE GENERAL PLAN OF THE CITY OF POWAY
COMPREHENSIVE PLAN (GPA 88-03J)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Poway recognizes that the need may
arise to amend the City's General Plan; and
WHEREAS, Section 65350, et seq., of the California Government Code describes
the procedures for amending General Plans; and
WHEREAS, the applicant, Mr. William Gretter, has initiated a General Plan
Amendment, GPA 88-03J, for a modification of land use for an approximate .13
acre portion of a 4.11 gross acre parcel (APN 317-520-06) located at the
westerly terminus of Rimbach Road; and
WHEREAS, the application proposes a change in land use from Rural
Residential C (1 du/1, 2, or 4 net acres) to Resdiential Single Family 3; and
WHEREAS, The City of Poway held a properly noticed public hearing in accor-
dance with the California Government Code and the California Environmental
Quality Act to consider that request; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that proposed General Plan Amendment 88-03J
will not have significant adverse impact on the environment and hereby issues a
Negative Declaration; and
WHEREAS, the City Council further finds that the proposed General Plan
Amendment would ultimately foster an orderly and compatible pattern of land use
in the Rimbach Road/Fred Road area, and would also result in a land use designa-
tion that is consistent with the surrounding residential developmemt and den-
sity.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council does hereby amend the
City of Poway General Plan Land Use Map of the Land Use Element for the above
described property from Rural Residential C (1 du/1, 2, or 4 net acres) to
Residential Single Family 3 (2-3 du/net acre).
APPROVED and ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Poway, State of
California, this 13th day of September, 1988.
