A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
INITIATING GENERAL PLAN ~ENDMENT 88-04
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Poway recognizes that the need may
arise to amend the City's General Plan; and
WHEREAS, Section 65350, et seq., of the California Government Code describes
the procedures for amending General Plans; and
WHEREAS, General Plan Amendment 88-04 is proposed for the October 11, 1988
public hearing before the City Council and that hearing will constitute the
fourth and last GPA hearing of 1988 pursuant to the Government Code; and
WHEREAS, Section 17.46.020B of the Poway Municipal Code {Zoning Development
Code) provides that a change in the boundaries of any zone or a change in the
regulations may be initiated by resolution of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, General Plan Amendment 88-04 consists of three separate City-
initiated applications as identified below.
GPA/ZC 88-04A: This is a proposal to redesignate the land use and
zoning for 40.24 acres of undeveloped land located approximately 400
feet south of the intersection of Silverset Street and Palisades Drive
and bounded by the Rancho Arbolitos Planned Community {APN's:
314-050-25 and 26). The proposed redesignation is from Rural
Residential C (1 du/1, 2, or 4 net acres), RR-C zone to Planned
Community, PC zone.
GPA/ZC 88-04B: This is a proposal to redesignate the land use and
zoning for approximately 2.9 acres of land located on the south side of
Poway Road and fronting the west side of Vista View Drive (APN's:
323-261-26 and 28). The proposed redesignation is from Rural
Residential C (1 du/1, 2, or 4 net acres), RR-C zone to Residential
Single Family-1 (1 du/net acre), RS-1 zone.

GPA/ZC 88-04C: This is a proposal to redesignate the land use and
zoning for portions of an 11.3 acre undeveloped property located at the
northeast corner of Poway Road and Carriage Road (APN's: 317-090-39
and 40). The proposed redesignation for portions of the site is from
Residential Condominium (7-12 du/net acre), RC zone to Open Space, OS
zone.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Poway,
by adoption of this resolution, does hereby initiate General Plan Amendment
88-04, and associated changes to the zone boundaries, as identified above.
