A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
DENYING, WITHOUT PREJUDICE,
GENERAL PLAN A~4ENDMENT 88-03D
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Poway recognizes that the need m~
arise to amend the City's General Plan; and
WHEREAS, Section 65350, et seq, of the California Government Code describes
the procedures for amending General Plans; and
WHEREAS, the City of Poway has initiated an application, GPA 88-03D,
requesting a modification of land use on Assessor Parcels 314-050-25 and 26
having a total area of approximately 40-gross acres and located approximately
400 feet south of the intersection of Silverset Street and Palisades Drive; and
WHEREAS, the application requests a change in land use from Rural Residential
C (1 du/1, 2, or 4 net acres) to Planned Community; and
WHEREAS, the City of Powa~v held a properly noticed public hearing in accor-
dance with the California Government Code and the California Environmental
Quality Act to consider the amendment; and
WHEREAS, the City Council determined that proposed General Plan Amendment
88-03D is not appropriate at this time.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council does hereby deny,
without prejudice, General Plan Amendment 88-03D.
APPROVED and ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Poway, State of
California, this 27th d~y of September, 1988.
