A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
ESTABLISHING A GUIDE TO LANDSCAPE
REQUIREMENTS AND LANDSCAPE STANDARDS
AND RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 83-001
GUIDELINES AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR
LANDSCAPE DEVELOPMENT
WHEREAS, Sections 81.703(i) and 81.704 of the City Code, as enacted by
Ordinance No. 80 authorizes the City to require the installation of landscaping
and irrigation facilities and improvements in conjunction with highway slopes,
median islands, parkway beautification and other public and private areas, and
to require the preparation, checking, and approval of construction plans thereof
and inspection of same; and
WHEREAS, Section 87.104(a) of the City Code, as enacted by Ordinance No. 77
requires that any guidelines or specifications for landscaping and irrigation
improvements be adopted by City Council resolution; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best public interest to institute a uniform set of
guidelines for the design, construction, inspection, and maintenance of such
landscape and irrigation improvements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Poway,
that the "City of Poway Guide to Landscape Requirements" and "City of Poway
Landscape Standards", on file in the City Clerk's Office, and the Appendices and
Standard Construction Details therein, be hereby adopted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Poway, California at a
