A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF-POWAY,'CALIFORNIA
AMENDING'THE TEXT OF THE HOUSING
ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN'
OF THE CITY OF POWAY
COMPREHENSIVE PLAN (GPA 89-01C)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Poway recognizes that the need may
arise to amend the City's General Plan; and
WHEREAS, Section 65350, et seq, of the California Government Code describes
the procedures for amending General Plans; and
WHEREAS, the subject City-initiated amendment adds new language to the text
of the Housing Element of the Poway General Plan, thereby establishing Action
Program 2.K under Objective 2 (Reducing the Cost of New Housing) requiring com-
mon ownership of coaches and lots located within newly created, privately owned
mobile home parks; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Poway held a properly noticed
public hearing in accordance with the California Government Code and the
California Environmental Quality Act to consider subject General Plan text
amendment; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the subject General Plan Amendment
89-01C will not have a significant adverse impact on the environment and hereby
adopts a Negative Declaration.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council does hereby amend the
text of the Housing Element of the City of Poway General Plan by the addition of
new language as follows:
A new Program 2.K is hereby added under Objective 2 (Reducing the Cost of New
Housing) and shall read as indicated by the following dashed underscored
language:
